Your hosts

Ron and Laura Langdon

Ron and Laura brought this 1816 house back to life, room by room, and opened it as a bed and breakfast. They fill the house with Civil War artifacts discovered during restoration, including Enfield bullets found between the walls, period artwork, and family heirlooms.

On Saturday evenings they host historical talks in the individual rooms, so the house itself becomes the storyteller.

Safety and how to arrive

Gettysburg is a small, walkable town in south-central Pennsylvania, a popular weekend drive from Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. The battlefield is dark after sunset, so bring a light for evening walks and stay on marked paths. Summer afternoons can be hot; carry water on the tour roads.
